Kevin Elliott is a tech-geek with a background in systems and software engineering. This blog is about his adventures in starting a business, experiences with technology, code geekery, and interests such as digital photography, home automation, and design.
While he has had experience co-founding companies in the past, Kevin is working on something new and fresh. Kevin hopes to encourage others to take calculated risks and start their own ventures, and share experiences and knowledge throughout the process.
This blog is called ’sheeptrader’ because of the significance of the sheep trading business for thousands of years. Sheep were at one point a trait of success; they provided food from milk and cheese; provided clothing from wool; and skins for parchment paper. The founding US President George Washington raised sheep. While we now consider sheep unlikely pets and sheep trading to be a primitive form of business, it was once a lucrative and respected trade that made a large impact on societies throughout history.
